Understanding the Assessment Landscape:

The journey begins with a firm grasp of the assessment structure. You’ll face two multiple-choice written exams:

  • Principles of Using Equipment for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry: This 20-minute exam tests your knowledge of using security equipment responsibly and effectively.
  • Application of Physical Intervention Skills in the Private Security Industry: This 45-minute exam assesses your understanding of de-escalation techniques, lawful use of force, and safe restraint methods.

Remember, both exams require a 70% pass mark, so accuracy is key. But wait, there’s more! You’ll also need to successfully complete a practical assessment that evaluates your ability to apply the learned skills in real-world scenarios.

Beyond the Score: Mastering the Untapped Secrets:

Now, here’s where we break away from the usual script. While scoring well is crucial, it’s not the whole story. Here are some often-overlooked aspects that can significantly impact your success:

  • Positive Mindset: Self-belief is a powerful tool. Approach the exams with a positive attitude, focusing on your strengths and visualizing success.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded a Level 2 Award for Upskilling a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry accredited by the Security Industry Authority (SIA)1.
