It shows that you have the necessary skills and knowledge to work effectively in this role.

Increased Responsibilities

With the Level 2 Top Up certification, you can take on more responsibilities compared to entry-level door supervisors. Licensed door supervisors with the Level 2 Top Up certification tend to earn higher wages than those without it. One survey showed that certified door staff earned approximately 20% more than their uncertified counterparts. Your advanced skills and qualifications make you more valuable to employers, which is usually reflected in higher hourly pay rates or salaries.

Compliance With Industry Regulations

The SIA door supervisor licenses using the Level 2 Upskilling Top Up course ensure you meet all industry standards and legal requirements. Having this certification proves to employers and clients that you have been trained in critical areas like physical intervention, first aid, health and safety procedures, and more. This protects venues from liability risks.

Greater Job Stability

Certified Level 2 door supervisors enjoy greater job stability and security than those without licenses. Even during tough economic times when layoffs occur, properly trained and certified security staff are usually retained by employers. Your advanced qualifications make you an indispensable member of the security team.

Opportunity To Specialize

The Level 2 Upskilling Top Up certification allows you to specialize in particular areas of security work. For example, you can use it as a springboard for extra training in VIP protection, CCTV monitoring, or crowd control and take on more specialized roles. This helps further your career within the security sector.

Gain Updated Training

The industry is constantly evolving, and the Level 2 Top Up course ensures you gain training in the latest techniques, regulations, and best practices. You avoid becoming outdated and can implement the newest methods for protecting people and property. Staying up-to-date is crucial for success as a door supervisor.
