Once you have met these requirements, you can start delivering SIA-licence-linked training courses.

Here are the steps on how to become a SIA trainer in the UK:

  1. Get the necessary qualifications. The most common way to do this is to take a Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) qualification. This course will teach you the essential skills and knowledge needed to deliver effective training.

To get approved as a trainer, you must submit an application to an awarding organisation. The awarding organisation will assess your qualifications and experience to ensure that you meet their standards.

Here are some tips for finding a job and advancing your career as a SIA trainer:

  • Network with other security professionals. Attend industry events and meetups to network with other security professionals. This is a great way to learn about job opportunities and make connections with potential employers.
  • Become a member of a professional body. There are a number of professional bodies for security professionals, such as the Security Institute and the British Security Industry Association.
